The story of the Tsouderos family goes back to a long time ago. A story made of traditions and hard work. The family started in the beginning of the 1940 on the area of Asomatos in the south part of Rethymnon Crete, a beautiful place where the family still lives and work. There, they started farming, but most of all they were one of the first families that started growing olive trees, and having mill for producing olive oil.
The good climate of this region warm-windy summer and mild winter together with the rich and soft soil make of these hills the perfect spot for olive growing. As time passed by, the production of olives increased considerably and, at the beginning of 1980, the family decided to change the old oil mill and buy better machines. Thanks to the efficient oil machine and the very high quality of the olives grown on the fields in Asomatos, all people in the area olive oils are superior quality. The taste is fine and delicate, suitable for Greek, Mediterranean and international cooking.
